Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel is the twelfth studio album by American recording artist Mariah Carey. Originally scheduled for release on August 25, 2009, the project was released on September 28, 2009, in the Philippines and Hong Kong through MCA Music and Universal Music respectively, September 29 on Island Records in the US and November 23, 2009 with Mercury Records in the UK.
The album has so far spawned three singles including the US top ten hit "Obsessed", a cover of Foreigner's classic "I Want to Know What Love Is" and R&B ballad "H.A.T.E.U." which is currently impacting on US charts. The album has also inspired a tour Angels Advocate Tour and a remix album Angels Advocate to be released February 23, 2010.
